Biography
Dennis Hazenoot (1988) is a Dutch composer, arranger, and conductor. He studied composition at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague as well as the Utrechts Conservatorium.
During the master program Composing for Film at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Dennis composed the music for several final exam films by students of the Netherlands Film Academy, of which Sacred Defense was nominated for the 41st Student Academy Awards.
At the moment, Dennis’s primary focus is the composition of concert works. In June 2024, his Symphony No. 1 “To Wonder and Excitement” for concert band was premiered at TivoliVredenburg.
Since then, Dennis completed several works for renowned Dutch military bands, among which Headstrong and Valour and Virtue for The Fanfare Band of the Royal Marechaussee, and The Might of the Waves for The Marine Band of the Royal Netherlands Navy. In January 2026, the Marine Band also gave the first performances of Dennis’s composition Trident Rhapsody.
