Biography
Dennis Hazenoot (1988) is a Dutch composer, arranger, and conductor. He studied composition at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague as well as the Utrechts Conservatorium.
During the master program Composing for Film at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Dennis composed the music for several final exam films by students of the Netherlands Film Academy, of which Sacred Defense was nominated for the 41st Student Academy Awards.
Over the years, Dennis has written various concert works and film scores. At the moment, his primary focus is the composition of concert works. On June 8, 2024, his Symphony No. 1 “To Wonder and Excitement” was premiered at TivoliVredenburg in a performance by Harmonieorkest Vleuten and Toonkunstkoor Utrecht, conducted by Arjan Gaasbeek.
